About

The Medina Volunteer Fire Department (VFD) is located in Medina Texas in Bandera County. It was founded in 1974 and provides service to 386 square miles.

Medina VFD is entirely funded by private citizens and corporate donations. There are currently no paid members of the all-volunteer department. Fire Fighters on the Medina crew routinely leave their paid jobs to respond to neighbor’s call for assistance. The men and women of the Medina VFD are proud to be the first line of defense for those in need.

In a typical year, about one in three Medina residents make a financial contribution. County wide, about one in five land owners provide financial assistance. Many are moved to donate after receiving emergency support. Please consider an annual donation based on the following formula: if you own property in the 78055 zip code, please think about donating $50 per every $100,000 of fair market property value. For non-property owners, a gift of $25 per household would help ensure that our volunteers have the necessary resources to respond.

The Medina VFD are honored to serve their community.
